If you need to fly to any of these airports after this date you will need an ASIC or AVID. My new job in Darwin required an ASIC.It took well over 4 weeks a couple of months ago, so like Ross said now is the time to apply.Those of you in the RAA will know that the RAA is now approved in principle to issue ASICs but I don't believe that they have started doing it yet.telfFlying - The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss. Hi Ross,Maybe someone from the Board can confirm this but I believe that if your application for an ASIC has been submitted,and it has not been issued in time for the deadline, you will not be penalised.You can also apply on line via CASA's website where the forms are available to download and print.This may save some heartache.Hoges
