  • Burren Junction Flyin/reunion.

No doubt you would have all received your Gyro News with the "flyer" outlining some details of the Burren Junction reunion on the 6/7/8 June.I have started this new topic to keep those thinking of attending up to date with the arrangements for the weekend.Firstly we will be organizing fuel (96 octane ULP) on site for those flying in. I have 3 gyros flying in so far one being Sam Labruna from Mangalore in the Kruza.Anyone else that will need fuel give me a yell so we can order more drums as needed. The local shop sells diesel and ordinary unleaded.Food. There are three eateries at Burren, the RSL, the pub and the takeaway/service station.Cheers for now.

Good onya Bones, I will pack an extra Bottle of "Bear". We tend not to put too much s**t on Allan these days,we just about covered the diesel, finger, dog jokes...Having said that I will be giving a photo of Allan to the local servo owner with instructions,"If you see this man........."

A couple of pilots have suggested a "trash and treasure" stand at the flyin so I cant see why not. This can include any parts etc or complete gyro"s. Bring what ya got!

Hey Sam, No doubt you could fly up naked in the cozy cockpit (no pun intended) of the "kruza" but you will need a jacket for night time at Burren at that time of year. Although between the Rum ,campfire and hot bore baths its unlikely you will get frostbite.

Hey Deano, no worries with the flight check. I can do it or if you would rather brag to your mates you were given a flight check by a 747 Captain I"ll get Allan to go for a lap with you!!.Echo, that"s the best idea Ive heard all year, If anyone has any gear to donate we can have an auction with all proceeds to Rob. I will try a couple of big aero type companies to see what we can get donated.Anyone out there with some contacts speak up!!

I have been informed there are a number of cabins still left at the Junction City Hotel. Rooms are almost fully booked though.
