Ross,The trip we are planning from Marian to Uluru could be viewed in this way!Fact: It is 40075km to fly once around the earth. If we ever decide to fly around Australia it is 25760km (65% of the earth"s circumference). It is 1850km to Uluru as the Gyro fly! Our trip will most probably be 4200km in total or thereabout there and back, or 16% of the circumference of Austalia or 10.5% of the earth"s circumference! It will most likely be 4200km/130km/h (70knots) = 32 hours flying time at 22 litres = 710l/gyro ($1000) or 35 drums!Forum: We are planning to do this trip in September/ October, and wish to invite any other Gyro pilot/s to join us. I will sponsor the ground crew and trailer to assist us.Regards,Colin
