G,day.I think I read somewhere that some overseas gyro's cannot be registered or legally flown here in OZ. Is that right ?I dont know which ones or why, or if they can be modified to complywith our regs. My question: Could an AAI SparrowHawk, as supplied from the factory, unmodified, be registered and flown here in OZ ?Cheers.Robert DunnMackay. Qld.Growing old is good while it lasts.

It would currently need a max weight exemption from CASA, which would not be hard to get. Proposed rule alterations will make them OK in the future. Still have to pass the Australian standards though, but the SparrowHawk would have little or no problem doing that.Tim McClure

Thanks Tim.I would like a Groen Hawk but I only have pennies not pounds !Any humble gyro would be better than the one that I dont have at the moment.Cheers.Robert DunnMackay. Qld.Growing old is good while it lasts.
