Hey Pompy,I can"t speak for the Gentex or Alpha Type Helmets,But I can For the Icaro Skyrider Helmet, and I know a fair few that use this helmet in their gyros, And love em!http://www.skyshop.com.au/shopexd.asp?id=1024You can buy the complete helmet with headset fitted, also you can choose between the GA Plugs or the RJE telephone plug if your intercom box is that type.I actually brought my helmet from Airborne www.airborne.com.au as i could get the chin shield (which will cut out more wind if you fly an open front gyro) thru them and brought the headset with fitting kit for the helmet from Skyshop.Cheers,Trent

I have both a gentex and the helmet you are talking about Trent.The gentex earphones were no good so i replaced them with the ones out of the other helmet and the mic was no good on the other helmet.

don"t forget to check out "Gallet" i ware Gentex as its company issue... my first choice for comfort is the Gallet and are the lightest. But without ANR i had issues when in certain heli"s.Gallet are also twin plug as std. nice helmet.

I have a Gallet, would"t give it a thumbs up on the anr :-[Yes to comfort, light,sunviser and a BIG NO for ANR my head rings for hours after a flight. :-X
