I am all for immigration we live in a lucky country and have the space to allow people in . (Even though our government can"t keep up with infrastructure)I do not think boat people should be allowed in. Gillard needs to toughen up an grow some balls (figuratively speaking). What gets me is that there are genuine refugees out there trying to get australian citizenship the right way. These boat people jump the que which only punish the ones following the rules.

I now live in the city, and I have not moved. Now I must drive 10 miles in the other direction to see some grass.You put a bug in a jar, and it replicates itself every minute. In an hour the jar is full. When was it half full? One minute before the hour. Thats exponential growth. And that is what is happening with population, its growing exponentially. We are about one minute before the hour.If you took a million people out of India and put them in Victoria, the next day India would not notice, but Victoria would! Anybody that agrees with me gotta be smart.Dick Smith had a program on population control. The big end of town argued the answer was to pipe water down from up north. Missed the point completely. All that does is defer the problem. They are fixated on growth, because growth means more building and more sales.
