Tyre width and height should be determined by the type of airstrips that you operate from. Small skinny wheels are by far the lightest and least drag, but less suitable for operating from rough or loose ground. Most come in 11", 13" and 15" diameters, on either 5" or 6" rims.Run wheels parallel, or if anything, slightly toe out.Tim McClure

Tim,Does the toe out assist in out of shape landings? That is , if you're not dead set tracking with your flight direction upon landing, does having the first touching tyre having a toe out bias assist the re alignment?I would imagine most strip I'd anticipate using will be bush strips. Hence larger tyres.Ted
