Hi all, this isn't really about Gyros but still a Sports Rotorcraft A friend phoned last night to let me know he is off on a trip to a salt lake (Lake Gairdener I think)with a few others to test fly a Hiller flying platform that one of the group has built. I have seen a photocopied picture of it about 2 years ago and it looked pretty amazing. At that time it had 2 Hirth engines (I think) driving contra-rotating props. Dont have anymore details at the moment and I'm trying to organise a proper interview with them on their return, which will I hope appear in a future Gyro news. They are also taking a small hovercraft with them.. Sounds like a great road trip to me.I'll keep you informed.cheers,Art
