Good news in the location of the two trapped miners , hopefully we will see their safe recovery this morning. ( Just heard on the news it could be another 48 hrs ) Condolences to the family & friends of Larry Knight. Having worked underground in a hardrock mine I can relate to the circumstances [V].

Well, they got the 'boys' out safely earlier this morning.Whilst we dont know Todd and Brant, my wife has met Todd's wife when dropping kids to school ect. My wife also pulled a couple of shifts at the mine (above ground Tas Ambulance Service) during the last two weeks.Beaconsfield is our home town and the social hub of the district in which we live.I just went in to town to get some wallnut stain for window sash's and frames BUT the main supermarket/Hardware store was closed.Vehicles parked from one end of the town to the other and the Club Hotel full of people celebrating the safe return of two local lads.Sad day for Larry Knights family, looks like both Brant and Todd will get to the service later today. Here is a pic of Beaconsfield taken by ole Mate Nigel. Sadly, Larry was Nigel's nephew. My wife and I extend our sympathies to Nigel and Larry's wife and family. God speed Larry.MitchLink to pics of Beaconsfield and surrounding country. Great pic , Mitch, thanks.I would sooner be a 1000 mtrs up than a 1000 mtrs down. Unbelievable scene watching the two guys walk from the headframe. A bitter/ sweet day for Beaconsfield.
