G"Day Gents,Now before anyone does a "dance" on me, I realise there are only so many ways to configure and dress up an open tandem gyroplane...........which one came first?

Well not all tandems look the same. And they can be dressed differently.

Hey Birdy,This is the open version of the SA Sycamore, here I"ll put this little graphic up. I saw it as one of the two options on the Sycamore site and obviously made the connections.I cant be certain...Sam is like a sponge with stuff so he"ll have the good oil on it.For my mind Magni did the tandem and tried for a long time to fully enclose it and invariably ended up with 5 Vertical fins as does the Sycamore BUT Magni claimed to many issues with yaw so stuck with the partial, bath tub arrangement as you put it. The then went on to develop the fully enclosed variant which we saw as a yellow cab recently, where the thrustline was at the top of the cabin. Anyway, simply try to generate some gyro talk in light of recent events. Now the Golden Butterfly however is currently being morphed into the Super Sky Car, it will look nothing like the Sycamore, will have MLS, GFLG, Drive to the mains, De-clutch the prop for highway driving, Folding Rotor Blades, Windows in the sky type Sat Nav.Cheers,Mitch.I forgot to mention have a look at the tail variants in the development leading up to the latest 5 Vertical fin production craft.
