Sorry Buddy,Not meant as a tease, just hopefull you could make it. Of course the kids come first and Ummm, yeah, know what you mean, work brings in the $$$ and pays the bills, which of course helps the family. I'll catch you for sure next time round.Funny thing, I'm just about to bring the Butterfly home tomorrow and have put together a to do list for the 10 and 12 1/2 hourly maintenance on the 503. Then I'm looking at Comma and I have no clue how to estimate time in the seat, be it mine, Birdy's if he chooses to fly her, or perhaps some other lucky bugger. So I'm making up a list for the 25 hourly schedule as well.Mitch.www.thebutterflyllc.com

Sonny, good to see you posting here from time to time. Can't take credit for the GyroVan. My mate Ron Johnson built it for me. I told him what I wanted and gave him dimensions ect got the steel in and parts and helped as and when recquired. The 'bugger' had me on the roof drilling and pop riveting. I was 'jammed up' that night. Jake and I added all the fiddle and pretty bits.Ron did a 'top job'!!!Brian, Reckon you're spot on there. My only saving grace may be that Allan has also offered him a ride in his Monarch Butterfly and you would not have needed to ask at all Brian. Anytime you like. Now I got some more pics. Went flying just before I loaded Butterfly for the trip home in her new mobile home. Thanks to Daj, for giving the caravan it's name. Good Onya Daj. I'll post the pics of flying under my solo flight thread.I posted on the rotaryforum pics of gyrovan and the question was asked, would both beds drop down for use with the gyro on board. Now I have had my fingers crossed on this. I certainly could offset the gyro and use one bed but I had hoped for both. Everything turned out 'mickey mouse'. I did have to shorten my pitot tube by approx 1" but the tie down points, rectangular steel frames for mains, all work as expected. Bed on left side has oodles of clearance, right side bed missess both carbies by 1cm. Could'nt believe my luck.Cheers,Mitch.www.thebutterflyllc.comThese pics show gyrovan still attached to vehicle and 'jacked up', it makes pretty much a level ramp all the way and the lip on the drop door prevents gryo from rolling back whilst you prepare to tie down. Woody,Long Box on right hand wall. Benson Blades 21' 9". What happened Woody, I thought you were headed to Cooma? I reckon I might try and get over your way in December of this year, certainly will be back on the mainland next Easter 2006 for the Nats, SA putting in a bid for that one. I heard a good time was had by all at Lamaroo a while back. It's a shame you can't make it Woody.David Johnston...DAJ is about to get started on a Monarch after we finish at the Nats, Daj gave the caravan the name Butterfly GyroVan...I bet I get the third degree by the boffy headed security mob they now employ at the Spirit terminals. All jerry cans have to be open and free of all fuel. Just to be safe, I've drained the seat tank, disconnected and bleed fuel from a lines, empty carbie bowls and fuel pump. Anyways, we loaded the gyrovan today, it's going to be a very versatile unit. I'll catch up with you soon Woody, give my regards to Kevin Traegger.Mitch.www.thebutterflyllc.com
