Had a nice weekend trip in a SH: 400 km route to a deserted 2500 meter airstrip on Saturdsay and 400 more back home on Sunday...

On our way back we're forced to look for an refuel station on a road - first such experience for me in a gyro
Cheers,Alex

As for metal tail: I fabricated it basing on famous "Zodiac" (by Chris Heinz) airplanes methods since I had a good practice translating into Russian a "Zodiac" builder's manual and taking part in assembling of two CH601 Zodiacs. Building such tail is way simplier, cheaper and faster than the original composite one. And I hate to work with epoxy... But the first reason was that this metal tail weighs 8.2 kg instead of 12 kg in original tail. I had already built similar metal T-tails for Dominator and classic tail for Gyrobee earlier. Basically this weekend trip was also to get some testing for this metal tail - I've just finished it before. Manufacturing it took ca. 5-6 days including some preparations.
