  • Door catches

Been Instructing in a Sparrow hawk, with doors on at times, and I"m very concerned about the three door latches on each side. To open one has to be slid in an opposite direction to the two others. I get confused enough getting out for a pee. Amagine trying to evacuate after a heavy landing and fire! Not to mention the tanks are in the cabin under the seats. In future I"m not going to use the odd catch and make sure a large label is marked on each handle. Iv"e had my **** on fire before and know the brain does"nt work too well when panicking. Now I"ve got your interest in door handles, does anyone know of some neat little handles with no locks that I can fit to my kruzer cabin? Two each side. Was in the aircraft industry in my younger days and we found it was cheaper to not lock the doors when leaving an aircraft for the night. In those days in NZ morphine was kept in the survival kits.
