Rus,You do have a valid point, however there are many ways to skin a cat. There are no instructors in Vic,TAS? ,so what do we have to lose. If the Gyro industry wishes to expand ,which they need to ,how are we going to train future pilots. With many third generation Gyro,s comming into this country like the Xenon,Magni ,Butterfly etc ,how is it going to be economical selling in a small market.

Kym............i"m not referencing committees/ asra board in my comments...........i"m talking about us, as a whole group.You.....me........us. We as a group have, give or take..........have had the same member numbers for bleeding years, yet by comparison, the ultralight mob are booming. It"s my view, that because they are so proactive, is the main reason they are getting so strong. We.........gyro"s, have some brilliant designs / styles now available. We have sorted reliability / safe designs etc, we have a great training schedule in the main, being improved constantly. We have one hell of a "product".............but we ain"t selling it.........hard enough.Geez........our yearly subscription we all pay........all inclusive, rego / license / insurance..........the lot for $170 approx..........unbelievably cheap, compared to other type aviators.Instructor takes you for a "tif"....ok you pay him a small fee, usually he charges you nothing.........the "hgfa" guys, have to send $11 to the head office for every "tif" they do.We gyro"s are streets ahead, compared to others when it comes to day to day costings etc etc.Christ i could go on and on here.........better ping off
