At $19 + GST why would you mess around with plastic bags? I now find these can be sourced in Australia by emailing Alex Dimasi [alexd@edmoap.com.au]

Shame Bones is away, he tried all sorts of stuff to get better transmission, stuffing around with covers and stuff.

I"m pretty sure he told me about that. it was a filter which is a donut looking magnet.I fixed mine by using a different mic.

I"ve always used a dynamic mic with foam muff. Open frame gyro and open face helmet no visor so there is nothing to keep wind or noise off the mic and people have commented on how clear the transmission is.I tried a couple of radios that used electret mics but could not get the transmision as clear. Now I just use a radio that runs a dynamic mic. The mic is 150 ohm.
