Thanks for another episode of "great moments of engineering magnificence" (or better crank my soap box up another couple of thou)Having many years at BHP I learned one thing,make sure that you have a picture when you are describing something to an engineer, otherwise he will end up more confused than someone who doesnt know much.Im not back, I just never went away,Mark.

They look like Patroneys except the ones I have [2 year old], havent got the hub bar machined down.Not sure if Tim is still home, I will try and ring him and find out more info.The pictures are prett scarey !You never know how far you can go, till you get there !

Tim,Do you have any high resolution photo's of the hub bar.Looking at the image, if you look at the edge of the break all round the perimeter of the break you can see a dark and slightly polished line, this could be the 1mm damaged section I've referred to which is a product of machining. I'd dearly like to see a full screen high resolution shot of the ends of the hub bar to have a good look at it at better magnification.Cheers,Nick.
