Yep, I"d agree with that Russ.I had a nearly a week at the fabulous Lameroo Nats and it was one of the most memorable of my life, flying, catching up with Mates and meeting new folk.Catching the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry you lose a day, then there is always the next day on road at a minimum. They never seem long enough.Cheers,Mitch.

Good idea, my wife and I spent 8 days traveling to and from the nats. So we made a bit of a holiday.I think Ingham, NQ, would make a good place for the next nats. Always green, no dust, great fishing, mud crabs and prawns, soft sugar cane to land into, great beaches, barrier reef, etc..But we do need some ideas and volunteers for 2009. Lots of work, but we get to talk about how well the event was and how we appreciated your efforts.Graeme.

Well you probably got a good piont there, and lets face it, it would be hard to make it any easier for all the southern people to get to, from this year, and you take all the Queenslanders out of the numbers, it would have been a pretty sad show.So yeah lets have it up this end, and to hell with the ones who ***** about how far away it is.

Yea Bones.......spot on. Qlanders abounded there............probably outnumbered the "locals" etc.Was also disappointing to hear of another gyro event same time in NSW...........can excuse guys not going to "our" Nats because of personal circumstances..........but when guys travel to another event.........has me scratching me head

Guys,If I thought we would get 50 people from outside WA cross the border to attend a Nats in WA I would be happy to put our hand up to host one. The reality is that WA is a long way from the Eastern States of Australia for someone to fly or tow a gyro and you would need to plan a week to get here, a week of Nats and a week to get home(thats if you tow and drive long days!).

Hi AllJust an idea, how about we hold the 2010 Nationals in WA and make it a week long event that also incorporates the mustering school that we have been chatting about. That way it would make the trip worth while for all those who choose to attend, and there"s no excuse for not showing up cos youv"e had heaps of advanced notice.Adrian you know I will back you 100%.Just my 2c worth.Cheers Darren

Guys,Thanks for the support, unfortunatly its numbers and representation from around OZ that contribute to a sucessfull ASRA Nats event. If we have real interest then I am sure that we can host a great show in WA in the future.Regarding the mustering seminar in WA I have put that on hold until the new Regs103 & 149 have been proclaimed as it is fruitless talking about something that is not confirmed as being fully legal.
