it was easier for me to go to 3mm cables, double swagges, [ destructive tested to 1362kg, on video] with the recommended correct colour nail polish on the over lap inspected during preflight.

Holy crap where the hell have these machines been all my flying life, i got to get me one of these, probably 2, its sad if you really believe what you just typed. Why bother putting a rudder on them then, seems a waste of weight to me.People wonder why i am walking away from instructing again with

So if you phisically lock(i mean weld) your rudder peddles in the middle, your prepared to go fly?You didnt embarras me in the least, dont worry about that. How about I have one of my students video a rudder free take-off, landing, some turns, and including a true (engine off) auto-rotational landing (without touching the peddals) Will that suffice?Stay tunned.Regards SamL................

i wasnt thinking of the pedels being fixed[locked] either. that never happens in flight. i was thinking of the rudder cables broken. either one or both to give no control over the rudder. i will want to see your video sam please. i can imagine all you describe except the take off on full power. thats just me.

Sam. will the balance ball or string be in the center at all times?Aussie Paul. String and balance ball will be central. With the GTG Kruza"s rudder peddal design, it allows you to place your feet below, ensuring nil contact with peddal. Guys your making this sound like I have never done this before. I have demonstrated this dozens of times, to all kinds of people. And yes with turn & slip indicator centralized also including yaw string.Cheers SamL..................

Hi TonyIf you look at the pic above you will see the rudder peddal with rudder cables attached. If I physically push both peddals backwards (towards me) then both cables will slacken. This is the same as having a broken or detached rudder cable. With regards to a rudderless take off, this will all depend on were the machine wants to go, but I can assure you once the wheels leave the ground, it will certainly be rudderless at full power string & ball central.Regards SamL.............

My old Dragonfly also flew without the requirement to use rudder. You must remember we fly the blades in a gyroplane, and the machine should simple weather **** into the relative airflow and follow. Maybe what is trully missing is some sort of "Understanding the Gyroplanes theory classes" to be run across the country.SamL.............. :P

hi sam , always very impressive photos of very impressive gyros, and i understand your test now [ which was my first question] i wasn"t one that said you were wrong, i just wanted to know how you tested and to see your video. although on take off without rudder input my gyro pulls to the right[ not that hard , but hard enough] if i wanted to wait until i got in the air for it to fly straight[ which is does do, i can take my feet off the pedals] but if and i"m saying if before i got air born i crashed it"s still a crash!. so my only question is and i hope your not getting sick of me asking. your saying you
