Is it called IRIS because Accident Report Shedule (ARS) is a bit, ummm, vernacular?Graham(So glad I have an Apple)

Gidday Graham,I don"t really know. In this day and age, it seems that everything has to have an acronym, so IRIS actually stands for Integrated Risk Information System.A copy of the webinar has been made, but at the moment a particular programme is required for it to be viewed. I don"t want that so have asked for it to be converted to a format that can be accessed by all mortals including me, without special programmes or equipment.I"ll post it as soon as it"s ready.IRIS is still going live on May 1st.Regards,Allan Wardill.

No worries Paul,I missed it as well. My machine played up just at login time. Still trying to read the copy that was made. There"s a problem somewhere that ASN are working on.Waddles.

Gidday All,Apologies for not having the webinar video available yet. There has been a major problem with a security code known as a "codec". Apparently it cannot be interpreted by any computer system. As a result, it is being copied into a new format and will be available as soon as possible, possibly by midday tomorrow. In the interim, a "login guide" has been prepared and is attached below. You may choose to print it for reference until you become familiar with the system. It"s not rocket science really, as even I can use it.Note expecially that your login user name is your 4 digit ASRA membership number. Don"t use the "A" that appears on your card and ensure that there are 4 digits. Use zeros in front of the number if necessary. When you use the system, I"d appreciate some feedback so we can modify the fields if necessary. The system goes live from 0001 AEST on May 1st, but you may register any time after noon tomorrow, April 29th. Why not register and have a look? Thanks.Regards,Allan Wardill

Gidday All,Contrary to my advice in the post above, registration is no longer necessary. ASN have done that for you to help streamline the process. All you need to do is click on the link, login using your ASRA membership number as stated above, then change your password and personal details.Sorry for the confusion.Re the training webinar. A fix has been devised and the appropriate files have been sent to Webmaster for loading on this thread. This will be completed in the next day or so. As mentioned, you may not need it depending on your computer literacy, but it"s there just in case.Regards,Allan Wardill

Gidday Members,As you are aware, IRIS is now live and unfortunately has been used by reporters already. Unfortunate because it means that there have been incidents or reportable occurrences. Discussions with one reporter indicate that the system is easy and efficient to use.As promised, the report form is being constantly reviewed as we gain experience with the addition of extra fields that will enhance the method in which occurrences are reported to the necessary authorities, and also make tracing the reporter and persons involved easier for us. In addition, a summary report is being worked on that will include a precis of the event and any safety recommendations that that result from the analysis of the report. This section will be viewable to all registered members and will be replicated in the Gyro News for those who don"t have access.A couple of questions re using the system have arisen, resulting in the production of an updated user guide which is attached below. We think this will answer most frequently asked questions, but if you"re not clear on anything, just contact ASN or myself and we"ll get it sorted for you.Feedback is most welcome and encouraged. Thanks,Regards,Allan Wardill
