"groan"...Hi NickIm not denying that there may be a few underlying issues with the ASRA board that need rectifying, but what is even more apparent is your is the abundance of spare time you seem to have on your hands with nothing better to do than stir the pot. I cant but help to wonder that if you dedicated some of your energies in doing something constructive for ASRA not destructive we might all be better off. There is an old school yard saying that goes PUT UP OR SHUT UP

Nick,The issue in my post had nothing to do with whether the info was available or not. It was the tone you took with volunteers who are doing the task. People who are doing the best they can (under circumstances that we can only guess at) don"t deseve to be spoken to like pigs, by members that don"t appear to contributing to the same level. If Peter Harris hasn"t supplied the info, then there will be a very good reason for it. If you are not happy with the situation, then have it addressed at the next board meeting so the process is clear for the future. Anytime you feel you want to treat our volunteer officials with disrespect and arrogance, you will get a tune up from me. Anytime you want to volunteer your services, I will take to task antone who wants to treat you like that.Walter,I respect you may have an issue. And I respect the civility with which you explained your issue. But if Nick was speaking for you in his original post, he did you no service. You"ll catch a lot more flies with honey, than you will with vinegar.

Gidday All,I was under the impression that the release of the election results you all desire was to be published on this site around a week ago.Obviously this has not happened for whatever reason. Below are the official results, certified by the Returning Officer for the 2006/2007 Board Elections.Regards,Waddles.That is when I figure out how to attach a file! Standby.Just figured it out. Attached file below.

Something along the lines like............."the board" are not bound to heed the members preferences. They .....[ the board ] can at their discression, appoint roles by their own voting within. To idiot me.........why then ask for members to choose.........then just ignore them
If you aim for nothing, you'll hit it every time

I think maybe we (the members) should initiate a change in the constitution to ensure the wishes/votes of the majority are carried out.How do we do this?Graeme.Yippee I A Ky O !! (or however its spelt) Now we are talking, Graeme. Finally. A while ago, Nick had a list of things "not to do" or something like that. Why don"t we make a list of "things to change in the constitution" and set about getting it done.Nick - I think Tim and Russell explained it all. Doesn"t appear to be a conspiracy (bummer, eh. Nothing like a good conspiracy). Appears more of an anomoly. Russell hit it on the head. Why **** us around asking us who we want for prez if there is some other process to elect him/her. Makes no sense. Tim has probably got the best history of the joint, and might be able to tell us why this is so. Often these things are bought in at a time as a response to some unsatisfactory situation. For instance, if we"d all said we wanted waddles as prez, and he decided he didn"t want to be (time constraints or whatever) then we"d have wasted an election. Dunno. Tim probably will.
