[/Quote]This is the ASRA site, I"ve logged in as a member of ASRA having paid my fees and insurances and I have a right to know, so I"ll make a formal request here of the returning officer to make known to the members how many votes each candidate received, what the formal / informal votes were and why. There is no need for me to go to the returning officer privately in any way, shape or form. You do realise that since ASRA is an incorporated entity I can invoke the corporations act and demand via ASIC a response for this question, whether or not I have asked privately or publically is of no matter. So, would the returning officer, Mr Peter Harris, please stand up and advise the count.Thank you,Nick.Sorry, Wal. Sort of looked a bit demanding to me. I have no issue with you having an issue. Just the above appeared to me to be a little ignorant to me. I could be wrong of course. If Nicks method of asking is considered polite (or is considered "asking"), then I"ve been bought up wrong, and it is all my fault for not recognising politeness. If that is the case, then please accept my apology. As for the constitution bit, I"m one of those "glass half full" sort of blokes. I look at the board"s performance over the last couple of years, and I see a lot to be grateful for. What they didn"t do, or should have done, is of little consequence to me. What I haven"t had, I don"t miss. But I respect your right to require attention to detail, the same as I know you will respect my right to look at their performance and say "on balance ....etc", particularly as I did little to assist them in their achievements. AS long as we are both polite about it, as I know you will be.Cheers

Fred,You didn"t highlight where I said "please".So, it was a "polite", "formal" request.Never mind the fact that I was told I should go privately to the returning officer on a public matter, I"m just trying to put an end to the duck shovelling so there is an end to the speculation, as you said, no more conspiracy now.Cheers,Nick.

I think maybe we (the members) should initiate a change in the constitution to ensure the wishes/votes of the majority are carried out.How do we do this?Graeme.Hi Graeme and fellow GyronaughtsBeen having trouble accessing the Forum so Waddles made the post of the election results for me.

Something along the lines like............."the board" are not bound to heed the members preferences. They .....[ the board ] can at their discression, appoint roles by their own voting within. To idiot me.........why then ask for members to choose.........then just ignore them
If you aim for nothing, you'll hit it every time

Gentlemen,The Constitution has been amended recently, and the amendments are currently before the Registrar General for approval prior to distribution. When you read the Constitution, don"t forget the By-Laws.The By-Laws are currently being re-written.The voting system is under review and will be finalised before the next election. If you have a ***** about maters such as these, please, please, please address your concerns to ALL Board Members in writing. This then must be handled. This or any other Forum will NOT get the message across to those who are charged with attending to it.Regards,Waddles.
