Is it ok to put fuel through copper?

  • #2
Hi Dean,My understanding that copper will work harden, if subject to strain & vibration and is inert, in nature, to petrol. However, it will for sure over-strained at bends, couple with vibration from its gyro"s frame and to cause premature crack unexpectedly.I suppose copper may not be a bad idea to use as fuel lines in straight connection and minimize bends wherever possible. Otherwise, latter to replace with rubber hose connection and/or Al coupling. My experience was that of in my old RX7"s fuel line replacement. Juz a thought. I hope it may of help.CheersLou
