Rob, thinking about it - leave the light out of it. It is another point of failure - lamps are fragile things anyway. If you have a short in the circuit somewhere then that is the job of the fuse to take care of. (and lets face it - if you have a short then the original wiring was not up to aviation standards anyway)Run your ignition system wiring and treat it like a life support the same as your primary controls.
