hi darrellwe are now located at a privately owned airstrip ,Remlap Park (YREM)approx 13 nm northwest from Tea Gardens on the nsw lower north coast,its inside military airspace but we can fly with a few restrictions,when it is not active (WEEKENDS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS ,"NOT ABOVE 1000ft and no closer than 12 miles from williamstown raaf base) subject to notams.we are still

I saw Phil Wrights story about flying around this "restricted"area and am looking forward to a trip there, could be an alternative to the Gloucester VFR lane! As long as we all follow the rules the powers that be may see fit to open up other similar areas.Best of luck to the Hunter Valley gyro crew with your new airfield and hangar.

The tow arm looks great but one tiny modification I would recommend. Either make up a couple of cables or straps to go from the nose wheel bracket to the undercarriage close to each main wheel on the gyro, so that if a main wheel gets bogged or stopped by a hole or whatever, the car doesnt keep going and tear a leg off the gyro.A friend with an old benson with aluminium cross member suspension (or lack of) had someone tow him out of a paddock after an outlanding. The gyro survived the outlanding with no damage, but didnt survive being towed out of the paddock. The left main wheel got stopped by a tussock of all things, the 4x4 kept going, the suspension twisted like a pair of scissors closing, and the machine fell over breaking the prop and damaging the rotors.
