Greg I used strips of light cloth just draped over the shaft end of the wood and metal disk thats screwed into the end of the wood... one piece wraps from say 2 inches before the round shaft starts down the shaft over the metal plate and down the other side to aprox the same airea on the side of the blade ....I got the cloth as tight as I could by the metal plate but it didn't want to make the cornor at all so I ground off the excess and layed another cloth strip on the leading edge side of the blade shaft and over the end of the metal plate ... adding another coating of reson over the thing made it come out fairly good ... I think I'll leave it at that I was going to fiberglass the entire surface of the wood but I don't think at this point its needed ...I'll try to get some pics , but I got a dozen things going now and doubt I'll remember to do it ! ... catcha later !Bob......." hehehe problem is when I'm awake the sun is down ! and it don't take real good pics with the flash but ok I'll try to get ya pics I sujest a lamanated board ... its alot stronger than just plane wood plank that I'm useing , so if you can laminate 3 pieces togather to make the boiard 2" thick go for it !that would ba alot better .... ofcorse try to get Knot free wood ... ... as for the glassing I just coated the boards with a goof coat of reson .... twice then added the cloth over the top of the reson and wetted it down with reson as well ... very simple nothing technical at all .... weather or not it will all work and not fly appart remains to be seen when I finish it all ! .... but i have little doubt it'll hold up ! the wood is a 2"x6"x28" board right from the wood pile that I'm useing its pine and has a few knots in it ... catcha later !Bob......." Thanks Bob.Take care.I'm working on the new plug for the face plate today. I've had more advice regarding plug and mold production from a fella that's been in the game for 30 plus years.Cheers,Mitch.www.thebutterflyllc.com

Ross the 2 in the top pic are for the 447 warp drive replacement blades ... the 3 on the bottom I havn't spun yet .... I think the O'l girl is going to have truble turning all 3 as thick as they are so I may well work them over again and thin them down some .... but thats been moved to the back burner for a while ...rotor blades are more important right now ! got all I need to make the rotor blades but the stupid meterial ! ...oh well , such is life !
