(Douglas Adams-The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy)Hi Telf, why does everyone jump to conclusions[?]This is one reason that people get upset with this forum. Guilty until proven innocent. Shame on you people, and I am not just talking about my current problem. Now, what water temp gauge pegged in the red[?]Yes Brian, I have heard of hypothermia. We were never more than 20 mins from a rescue helicopter. They are located at the north end of the south island, and the south end of the north island. I was not pilot in command, BUT I did do my homework re rescue availability, and it is summer!!Aussie Paul.[:0]www.firebirdgyros.com

Great pics Paul[8D], the gauge that is being mentioned here is the one under the SE at the top of the panel. To me it looks like one of those electric temp gauges that have a very bad habit of the needle going to the maximum reading due to condensation in them. For those who are concerned with that miss reading, I would sugest that you use the copper tubed capilary gauge as they can be purchased with up to 12 ft of tube. Only concern with them is the tube has to be suported at short intervils.[!]What you focus on grows. Des Gravin

Hi Des, that is not a water temp gauge. It was an oil temp gauge tha is not required, and yes it had an earth problem. I told the CAA guy what it was and not to worry if he saw it flickering.Talk about assuming and jumping to conclusions!!! They are things that I have been pretty good at over the years, I'm afraid to have to say.[:I][:I]And yes I think that they are pretty bloody good pics!!!![^]Aussie Paul.[]Image Insert: 74.38

Paul, I apolagise, yes I did jump to conclusions ie, I knew you were over there instructing and assumed you were doing just that! The gauge, I apolagise there too, the oil temp gauge was NOT labelled so and I wrongly assumed that it was the water temp gauge and yes, a incorrectly working oil temp gauge is NOT of vital importance.Brian

Sorry to inform you Paul but it has naught to do with the monitor. It is purely file manipulation, but that is a subject I would have to 'mention' to you. Great pics though. Any others?PeteBairnsdale,Vic.

All the pics posted that I could not see clearly because they were too dark can now be seen ok. SO PETE, []it is my monitor!!!![^]Pete, I could do with a crash course, like I teach in gyros[], in "fixing, altering, enhancing etc. not so good pics".
