Would just have to get CASA approval. The flight across the Cook Strait was tremendous. I will attach a couple of pics. I am half way through writing the story on my last trip to NZ.My mate said was I concerned and I told him heck no, I have a life jacket and it aon't my gyro!!!!![:0]From the coast of the North island to the light house was 22nm, and then over the Marlborough Sounds. It was still 90% water. I reckon we spent 1 hr.20 mins overe water at least 5 nm from land during the 2 hr flight from the Nth Island to Nelson.Aussie Paul.[]Image Insert: 74.09

You are one game fella Paul?? [trying hard to be complimentary]. Great to hear you had a life jacket but I wonder if you realize that the water temp would get you pretty quick in the event you went down. Have you heard of the word 'hyperthemia'??? Also, to fly over a vast expanse of water with any important gauge working incorrectly is irresonsible in my book!! [water temp] By the way, great photos Paul !!!!You give the phrase "throw away the key " new meaning !!!Brian

Paul,What he is on about is the last photo before the maps.It shows a water temp guage pegged in the red.Either the guage wasn't working (you're more game than me), or the motor was about to fry. That aside, way to go!!!telfFlying - The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.
