  • Biggenden, here comes....

.... Biggenden, here comes Ross Bannerman.Proud day for me today, as one of my students tours the countryside.I have been the SAR watch liason person for Ross today as heads to the Nationals. Ross left Denman this morning and had to lay over at Scone for an hour or so as the easterly wind coming over the hills was turning into low cloud. After a chat to some of the local pilots Ross headed off with enough local knowledge to get through "the gap" and into the open country. Ross tracked to Gunnedah, to Narrabri, on to Moree, and finally Goondiwindi. At Goondiwindi Ross said that he was heading to Dalby but thought that he may not get that far.About half an hour before sunset I got the last call of the day from Ross to say that he was at Moonie, approx. 110 km short of Dalby, in the company of some helpfull people.I look forward to his calls tomorrow as heads to the Nationals.I just had a quick look at the map, and Ross has covered around 600km.Well done Ross.[^]Aussie Paul.[]www.firebirdgyros.com

Well Ross is almost home after having a nice tail wind today. He is at the Manilla Sky ranch with Willie and friends at Lake Keepit. The hunter Valley club apparently had their Easter weekend there. I hope they left some grog for Ross when he arrived!!!A short trip for Ross tomorrow.Well done Ross.Aussie Paul.[]www.firebirdgyros.com
