sounds good but i doubt it would work unfortunely, if you ask 10 different people you"ll get 10different ideas.i think your to be comended for offering your services thou and good luck. just my thoughts

Open source gyro
Have seen this idea bounced about with software, cars etc. Whats the possibility of designing an open source gyro with contributions from all. I have been a mechanical drafty for 20 odd years and know AutoCAD inside out. Done a few prelim sketches which can be posted for a starter. Expect a lot of flak as I have only been into gyros for a couple of years. I know it has been done with the Benson but I haven"t found anything on high profile gyros yet without parting with money. Keen to share ideas - also if standard designs are produced it could start small production runs (eg laser cutting cheek plates etc.) and bring time and costs down for everybody. Probably re-inventing the wheel but I"m putting it out there.
