I been away trying to make a buck so i can give it to the tax man, but in the midst of it we were a bit busy with a fire that came out of the desert here is the link to a bit of the photos ect.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmZnbKwKE5MAnother short videohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XsmqbBZXs0Enjoy the back burn one was to keep up with the fire front, which at one piont, the fire was traveling at 20kph yep thats right 3rd gear at idle in the toyota to keep in front of it.This fire woke us at about 4.30(we only climbed into the swags at 2) and we had a quick cuppa, and started to burn into it, we got to bed some 22hrs latter after it jumped the 150mt break we had burnt, and the best bit is its still burning, i think Quiet a sight to get up about 500" and see a line of flames dissapear over the horizon. The guys who flew over to the rock and back would have seen a fair bit of smoke, i actually tried to call them on their way back, but i wasnt high enough to get them i could here Ross calling for the approach of Jervoise on wednesday but he would talk back

Oh, forgot to mention anatha minor detail. The same sparky storm that lit us up, made a direct hit on our wind turbine [ 7K] [ that charges the batter bank] and smoked one of the F glass blades, cooked its controler [1K]. The 5KVA inverta didnt like the surge n died too. [ 8K]The solor regulater musta reconed it should go out in simpathy for the rest and also died. [ $800].joolya wont like it now we have gon back to burn"n dinosours for power. But now at least that faggot bobby should be happy that iv created .00071 of a job in the "renewables" industry.Wota f^%&n wank.

Bout 120km of fence cooked so far Brian, beyond repair. [ not happy]Iv seen alota fires go through alota fences but nuthn like the heat these bastereds are generatn this season.Usualy, the first bit of wire thats heated by fire streches under the tension and breaks, so the hole strain [ the ol mans suspension fences were usualy 6km strains] is slack between the strainer posts. ususly all you gota do is find the beak n strain it up agin, all dun.But not this time. We"v had bout 120km of fence burned, and f&^%n near every GREEN bush that exploded has melted the wires, even wen they are not under any tension. F^%$&ed if i know wots go"n on. > As for these socalled good seasons, im over it. Gimi a drout any day.It was all good n we had happy cows for 9 years, then it rained 50 odd inches over 18 munths, now we got these fire bombs go"n off, and they wont stop till theres nuthn left. Also, now, wenever the southerlys blow, we get black dust/ash storms.Next will be a flood of f^&%* camels, coz theres thousands of um out in the desert that will be lookn for a feed. But im ready for um, all stocked up.

Thought that the heat might have been white hot, specially with so much grass, would have burnt quicker than premium. Saw the same thing down here in the 74/75 when we had 2 years of 30 inch rainflall, it just melted everything. 6 K strains is something, I thought a K was stretching it
