Might do you 912 cowboys some good, clear out a few arteries if the cable breaks and at least one of your mag switches is full of dust and won"t switch off the engine. Break you into high altitude flying with a very low horizon untill you run out of fuel

I just had to say that because I could visualise a cowboy afraid of heights riding a run-amuck 912 climbing to keep airspeed under control and freezing and gasping for breath at 15,000 ft. praying for the fuel to expire. It would scare the crap out of me too and I was a brave sky-diver. Going above 1,000 ft in my Rosco flying ship clears a few of my arteries

Went to 8500" one evening, man it got cold and that seat got very narrow.Graeme.Went to 5,000 in my old open frame single [ a good sized thermal] and it was okay going up but it got cool & that seat felt like a razor blade when I looked straight down .

Probably why the yanks put the raw fuel nozzle into the rear of the engine of the F111"s. That got rid of a LOT of fuel very quickly. Now that would look impressive out the back of a 912/4. And funnier than a night on the curry ;DRegards.......Chook.

Well for me 2 words come to mind "power curve" i would have thought it be obvious, but apparently not.Has a single place pod 912 got a power curve ? Taking off this morning I could see I had 4500 takeoff revs and with airspeed getting over 50 knots I pulled the nose up past where I was comfortable with and still was climbing [thats with full tanks] so I"m not sure that at full noise what angle of attack would be necessary to bring a climb to a halt & then the thought occurred to me, should the noise come to a stop, getting the nose back over might be a tad interesting. Of course, it would be a fairly simple matter to put a cord / line down to the fuel line so that if the situation arose, you could by one swift pull, sever the fuel connection. I"m not sure how big a fire risk that might cause but I guess its an option.
