Hi Justin, if in doubt just jump on the ASRA home page and go to documents and print off the membership and gyro rego renewal forms and send them off. Easy as. Matt

Ideally, most people will register via the internet, it cuts down the work load substantailly and memebers can up date any change of particualars etc. The internet site has been a long time coming but it does work & work well . Members probably dont realize but this site has been done extremely cheaply, I read of a similiar site being set up for a cost of some $300 plus thousand

Gidday Justin & maybe others,The membership database (DB) has been up and running successfully for some time. We believe that all the bugs have been detected and killed. The Rego DB however is still in the testing phase and is not operative at this time. You will need to submit your 2014 rego renewal manually using the form F006 from the documents section of the ASRA Home Page. Post or email to the registrar at the address shown on the F006. If you elect to use the online payment option, you must annotate in the details section what the payment is for. eg. 2014 m"ship renewal.Re your online membership renewal: you will need an exclusive initial logon password. To get this, email registrar@asra.org.au and request a new password. When this arrives, call me on 07 5444 1316 or 0418 182 002 and I"ll talk you through the initial steps and your 2014 renewal. Don"t call between 1900 and 1930 though

Insurance is the big cost but the insurance issue was raised in the GN and a couple of members were against it but most were for it.

Oh yeah and here is a tip, you might as well take the "search and rescue" line out of the hours flown thingy, cause twice now they shut me down and told not to take any further part in the operation, actually "ordered" the last time to land, you can guess how that went down

I"ve got No problem with the insurance, but finding a Dr. willing to check you was not easy and he wants $220 to squeeze your privates while you cough plus $66 for a hearing test if necessary and $66 for eye test off necessary, ect.

Yes, I have a fw licence and have to jump through the same hoops as you do so I"m aware of the cost and the inconvenience. I"m not sure of how we can get around the dificulty of finding " Mr Willing".

Every two years. It"s sometimes not what but who you know. I took a dr. flying once and then asked him if I could book for a med cert. When I visited him on the monday he wrote one out on the spot with no charge. He said "The way you were leaping about I could tell you were healthy"
