Thanks Des for the explanation of who was who etc, you had a terrific result with the number of people who attended, well done!!!Great to see that a few gyros flew across as well, big commitment by those guys to take on the nearly mandatory headwinds.Rosie I were very disappointed not to be able to get there and enjoy the event and renew old acquaintances.Anyway, well done to all and sundry over there.

I had hoped to have been flying for the nationals this year however things didn"t go to plan & so I still come over making a holiday of it.My wife & I left Carmila (south of Mackay, Qld) on the 2nd March & 7700 km later arrived in Wongan Hills on the 1st April.

Elwyne, I believe you are in Alice and that it is raining, but I don"t believe the bit about braking down, a hilux does not brake down. The truth is you two are just stretching out the holidays.Great to meet you both and safe trip back this way.Graeme.

Yes Graeme, unfortunately I hate to admit it but the gearboxes in Hiluxes are their week point, & yes we did want to stretch the holiday out but not with mechanical problems. Was great to meet you too.

So Graeme, why were you trying to hide behind Glen in the red shirt in the 5th pic from the end in the photobucket post link when Adrian was giving the operating proceedures for the day?

his birthday is coming up and i had been wondering how robbie cook has been, anyone?Robbie is still in Alice Springs although his Mum said Robbie bought a goose neck trailer and outfitted it out as a mobile home but wheelchair friendly so Rob & Sarah have been moving around a bit. Apparently Rob has been busy organizing etc and had a lot to do in getting Top bull riders at the Aileron rodeo back Easter or there about"s. Physically he hasnt changed a real lot from what we have heard, a bit more feeling here & there.
