You're doing a great job Greg and one day Rosie and I will call in for a cuppa when we get to travel Tassie way.Just my opinion but I love those stone houses and as far as being 15 years behind, I wish thngs were like they were 15 years ago here!!!!Dont get too offended with Nick, I havent met him but I reckon he is a good bloke, its just the way he types, it doesnt quite come over like its meant too.I'm sure if anyone asked for help, he would be one of the first there...you might feel like killing him later ..only joking.BrianYou never know how far you can go, till you get there !

Pocky,My comments from 18.1.2005 : ¨It is a nice design and an enviable project.¨ See for yourself on the first page, then read all the pages of this thread, you assume I´m not happy with what Greg has done and that I don´t want his house to be a success, you are quite wrong, the same applies to Eric. There are some subsequent notes I´ve made about his flashings for the roof, useful tips and ideas. Why would I be providing this information other than to help? What is in it for me to say anything at all? I know more damage can be done of saying nothing than saying anything at all. Why don´t you advise how much it cost for you to have a floor waste gully stuck in your house after the floor had been ripped up and your bathroom / laundry / wet area was unusable for weeks? Would you like for me to have said something about it before you started on doing it? How about if I told you that if your wet area had a door leading outside that you could have tiled the floor so that the fall was directed out the door and you could have avoided doing it at all? Would that have saved you some dosh that you could have spent on your gyro? Ever heard the phrase, ¨why didn you tell me???¨, usually pronounced with some degree of anguish and loss. If you don´t know how to read me, too bad for you.Greg,My apologies for trying to be helpful, seems it is wasted here.Too much FIGJAM = too much confidence, hence the warning. What started this was me spotting your 2¨ waste risers and thinking, ¨I wouldn´t want to have to rod that out.¨ Do yourself a favour, put a capped sloped junction in the 2¨ risers when you connect your tubs, etc.Brian,My thanks. Now I´ll go and comiserate with flyinhi... if I can prise him out of the crocodile´s jaws... oo, too late.

Brian,For sure, what you say is quite correct, I haven't meet him either, I know he likes to help and has always been a asset to this forum. Checks and Balances. We banter occassionally, I'm always grinnin (maybe not always) when responding to his posts, I'm sure he does likewise. My girl has a good laugh at alot of this stuff. It's all good fun, the Aussie Way."Don´t get too full of yourself before your next crash Greg, this is your warning for the 50 hour syndrome, nothing is as easy as it may seem."I've been building this house for the last five years, sneaking a couple of days in here and there, Am I cocky about it? I don't know, I dont believe so. It certainly is the best work I've ever done and it will be may last big job undertaken on my own. I just dont get what Nicks point is sometimes and then I start to question his intent. Otherwise Brian, Nick and I are the best of Buddies. Ain't that right Nique Naque?Brian you and Rosie will have to stay a couple of nights at least, if we are to get some flyin time in Butterfly.Cheers,Mitch.www.thebutterflyllc.com

Nick,I gotta tell you Son, the FIGJAM, I confess that's not mine.[] Hell, I didn't even know what it meant. Hey, am I a twatt or what?[)] Needn't respond to that 'Sunshine'.[}] Truth is my girl was reading along with me and we were crackin up and having a laugh (appreciate the tips mate, some may be useful but we have alot of time to work this stuff out, it doesn't go up overnight). Anyways we was having some fun with it and occassionally she'll dictate a bit here and there. Now she's a lovely girl Nick so tread carefully here son but she was jus havin some fun with a 'Tag' for you, based on perceptions of your writings.[][][] Now remember Nick you were the one came out all guns blazing on Butterfly, so don't get your chin outta joint Mate over a little verbal banter. And Please, Please, stop talking about me crashing my gyro, you seem to have a fixation with this. [][V]Mitchwww.thebutterflyllc.com

Hi Greg, yes, the banter stuff is great and I wonder just how many of our wifes, daughters, girlfriends read these posts and get as much enjoyment out of them as what Rosie and I do.Must have taken a bit of time to come up with that tag for Nick. Nick, I got to agree with Greg, I dont think it does any good to talk this crashing thing about anyone.I know that if, God forbid, anything was to happen to Greg, you would be just as grieved as anyone else and you would hurt bad. Brian. You never know how far you can go, till you get there !

Telf,Next time I'm up in the Territory, I'll spend a day or two with you and lay up some stone, then there'll be no stoppin you. It's not hard. I've sent some emails and drawings to a couple of members, basic instructions on lay-up and cross-sectional plans ect. I can forward same to you if you wish.rocksfly@dodo.com.auCheers Telf.Brian,Bloody addictive this forum, I keep telling myself to stay away for a week but most days I'm checking emails, so I just gotta take a peek at ours and the rotary. Always something to learn, have a laugh at. Cheers,Mitch www.thebutterflyllc.com
