Hey Sonny,I posted some stuff asking you about Monte and wood blade plans under the "cutting alum 6061-T6"Mate, putting Butterfly together is fun and like laying stone, anyone can do it. Now, I'll always take credit for the kids. The general layout of the rooms on both levels we had on paper, my passion for things built of stone, then got an architect who had to be a Frank Lloyd Wright fan to come out up with the final concept. We got him cheap but that meant I had to design and build in all the finer detail. Actually went out with the 'Girl' and picked a ton and a half of rock today, mostly corner stones. I'll post another pic when I finish this wall I'm on.Nasty Winter over your way, Stay Safe,Mitchwww.thebutterfly.info

Thanks Eric, welcome any time mate, would be a good opportunity to have some fun in the Butterfly as well, "two birds with one stone" so to speak. I've put in three days since arriving home and just yesterday shifted the form boards on the current wall, (last lot of pics.) Another week and it will be done. Then I only have one large wall containing 10 corner sections and a small nib wall, then we can look at roofing and upstairs master bedroom framing. Deadline for stone work is this comming Christmas, funds allowing it should have a roof on it by next winter. I'll make sure I have a bottle or two of this Jamaican Rum (Swan) on hand. Nice drop.Take care,Mitch.Took these this morning.Image Insert: 79.88 KBImage Insert: 77.73 KBImage Insert: 82.39 KBImage Insert: 66.02 KBImage Insert: 70.71 KBI mentioned before that I am using a 75mm X 5mm thick galvanized steel top plate. Gal bolts are set in concrete at top of wall in the last 'lift'. This lift has a run of reo through it. When I cap the wall, I drill and set the top plate at finished level, it rests on nuts placed on bolt threads and is then held down by a second set of nuts. I put a long form board on back of top section of wall, then before I put the cap on another run of reo is tied to the vertical reo bars and locks it all together. Brackets are welded where and as required to carry timbers. (Bolts are on the left and threads are duct taped for protection, vertical reo bars on right. Also, use a mix of bondcrete and water, brushed on just prior to conc capping going on.) Cheers.www.thebutterflyllc.com

They is still findin bodies in wells, caves and yea many a human croc feast not secured away proper, bloats and floats. That's the Territory and part of its character, but too bloody hot and the further north you go, humid to boot. Dont know how the house will fare in a bomb strike, I hope she comes through a mild quake with not to much patchin to be done. I'll move back to the mainland down the track a bit but this place will be great for long summer vacations. (more famous words Echo).Cheers,Mitch.www.thebutterflyllc.com
