Birdy you say you don"t need help [ not that sorta help anyway ]Wot i ment by that is, if i [ and any primary producer for that matter] is left to his own devices, we dont need help from the tax payer. Yes, the boat balls up by gizzard aint helpn me either [ last mob we trucked off a week ago was nearly 30% cheaper than a mob a munth ago], but it wont sink me,....yet.IOW, if these f***wits run"n this island stayed outa our hair, we"d be do"n just fine. When the mining industry falls over then there are no other industries too take up the slack because they have been allowed to run down.Case of all eggs in one basket.Zactly. And the sooner the better.Im not wishn ill on the hole diggers, just abit of sanity in the country.

Public Servants of Cantberra - you might as well stay at home August 22 , cause you won"t be driving anywhere around your fortress of ignorance . 4000 trucks as part of a protest convoy of a coalition of industries will converge on Cantberra calling for this present "Govt" to be dissolved an election held.

Pinocchio, Snow White, and Superman are out for a little stroll in town one afternoon enjoying the sunshine. As they walked, they come across a sign: "Beauty contest for the most beautiful woman in the world.""I am entering!" said Snow White. After half an hour she comes out and they ask her, "Well, how"d ya go?""I won First Place !," said Snow White. They continue walking and they see another sign: "Contest for the strongest man in the world.""I"m entering," says Superman. After half an hour, he returns and they ask him, "How did you make out?""I won First Place , too," answers Superman. "Did you ever have a doubt?"They continue walking when they see a third sign: "Contest - Who is the greatest liar in the world?"Pinocchio quickly enters the contest. After half an hour he returns with tears in his eyes."What happened?" they asked."Who the hell is Julia Gillard?" asked Pinocchio.

Echo,I know nothing about cattle... well, a little bit, but if we have an election and Tony A (Ro)Bot wins, at least we"ll get a carbon tax, according to his reasoning on youtube......http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ckcH0Wrmy74It"s been a nice quiet couple of weeks on the "NO!!!" front, and a mini recovery for the local economy since the "Shoe leather wearing", "Sky is Falling" RoBot"s been in Europe sipping some fine European wines or maybe tea, I don"t know.I wonder who paid for that one?Was it us? Echo, re the apples from NZ coming in, thats party thanks to the WTO [World Trade Organization] NZ protested and the WTO said the NZ science was right and Australias was wrong. It is disappointing when we do not have certain diseases in this country to have things coming in that could decimate our producers. Food producers in general are being looked after by government a bit like rabbits in a spotlight at the moment. I know we have to be competitive in the world market with the so called level playing field but surely government [of all persuions] can see we must look after our food resources as well as managing our mineral plus making sure that we dont loose our manufacturing industry altogther cause one day, the mineral boom will slow and people are going to need jobs.As to the carbon debate etc, I wouldnt mind if Australia was actually going to do something other than to put another cost onto the folks who are unable to pass on costs and a carbon tax despite the handouts, will cost everyone a lot more than what we are being told it will. In 8 years time, our carbon level will have increased despite some billions of taxes being collected

I do actually sympathise with people who are unfortunate to have been born different.Born different my ass.If p00ferism was genetic, Penny p00f n her "mate" wouldnt need a sp00f doner. >Homosexuality isnt herditary. [ nature made sure o that.][i] we have homsexual as the leader of the greens and de facto PM, a lesbian & partner who are going to be a mum & dad down the track

"When the moral and ethical standards are lost /removed, there"s trouble around the corner of a magnitude that we cant begin to comrehend."Brian,I think that is being demonstrated in England. We are so lucky here, we can watch the mistakes being made OS. But Canberra is blind.Only one brain up there, Barnaby Joyce. I think he has a farming background.Graham

Reader Kate reports on the progress of the Convoy of No Confidence, on its way to Canberra from 11 parts of Australia:We have just had a message from our son who is co-driving a truck from Charters Towers to Canberra. On their way through Clermont this morning the convoy were presented with a donation of $13,000.00 to help with the cost of fuel!! Now that is passing the hat around, particularly for a town of less than 2000 people. From Bolts blogGraham
