I can"t remember much of her speech in parliament but I can remember thinking then and now how right she was.

she up set their perfect little world chopper, their apple cart. I think the system they all [public servents ] have just rejects them out of the bowels of their system. I think a lot of people when they get the chance go to be a politician and do some good, but the system rejects them. I heard graham Richardson ridiculing a new seneter recently. he wanted him out just because the new seneter and his brother admitted as kids they threw kangerroo poo . they didn"t fit the image. that shows how shallow a prick the polllies are .

Late post for all you people out there.I agree with all that has been said on here. Pauline Hansen was persecuted for asking to have too many things explained!!The pollies should retire on the same pension as the rest of us, no lurks & perks. If they contribute to super then good luck to them, they can become self funded retirees!!The unions should shut the *#ck up. They have slowly stuffed up this countries labour market by continually making ridiculous demands on businesses.I can remember over 40 years ago unionist standing over fellow workers in a meeting to vote for a strike ( for more money, better conditions, etc ) or they would cop a 12" shifter in the ribs or over the head. That was when I decided that unions could go & get **cked. No way they were getting my membership, but alas that went by the way for a while because I had to join to secure jobs to live. Ten years later I went into my own business & told them to stick their membership. I think I have done alright for the last 35 or so years. NO UNIONS.Big business leaders are also guilty of demanding large sums of money which are way out of this world of reallity.Welfare has gone through the roof. There are families up our way that are 3 plus generations into receiving welfare. Was it the German system - welfare for the short term only?? Maybe we need to take a leaf out of their book! Switzerland have COMPULSORY national service straight from school, so should Australia. If kids leaving school DO NOT have a decent job or apprenticeship to go to then National Service.Cheers to all, I have had my say. Hope you all had a good Christmas & the New Year brings good fortune & RAIN!!Mike Beale

Yeah I can understand your point (Mike Beale) and then you get the unregulated extreme like us poor bastards that have been working constantly day and night xmas and new year some shifts are sun rise to sun rise 22+ hrs which is illegal so the boys are joining unions and encouraging me to do so to protect ourselves from burnout.I just ignore the phone works for me and if i get a distress call from any of the crew i jump in and help if i haven"t got a job on the go. I have a trainee that was supposed to be under my supervision and i learn" t they ran him 80 hrs this week so no regulation is also dangerous we are putting in 170 to 180 hr fortnight time sheets yeah making money but it"s dangerous cause the fatigue is high. All the boys are on stand down today cause they are all burnt out and me phone has been going all day, ignorance is bliss but then there is tomorrow night up a bloody tower Sunday night then sitting in a car new years eve for 12 hours yes 2pm till two am for quick deployment to network faults. Constant 24/7 on call no breaks not regulated try it see how ya go Ive been doing it for 13 years and It"s time to change but I"m looking out for these boys as the company don"t give a **** if you fall asleep behind the wheel Ive done it six times over ten years and I know i"ll be replaced and called a stupid ******* for doing too many hours. Replaced with 457 visa workers that set the benchmark for out work standards Bless Pauline Hanson and 80% of the nation that quietly agreed with her just too scared to speak up cause we are afraid of being labeled racist or xenophobic or politically impolite who cares as we have no rights any way.

I appreciate wot you are saying Birdy I was raised on the land and there is nothing like it. We got the 80/84 drought and the old man sold up to settle the score with the bank. Virtually walked with nothing after all the hardship. But i still want to go back to the land and leave this city life far behind me. I think the missus is entertaining the idea it"s taken alot of talking. No gun at me head but these companies will work you into the ground for THEIR benefit if they can. You have fat cows and I have fat cats. I"m buying me time and the reward for my hard work will be moving back to the bush. Interesting how most city folk don"t understand how I rather camp in the bush than camp in a Hilton cause they weren"t introduced to the better life that your living Birdy. They can"t see past the city gates. That"s a good thing or else you would have a security fence around your house, cause city people like to break and enter and have rights. I recently got a car trailer stolen out of me yard. They cut the chain on the gate kicked me dogs guts in and got a $7500 trailer. I"m guessing that doesn"t happen real often in the bush. Cheers mateMike.
