New feature on Google Maps

You might have already seen it but it"s what we"ve (I"ve) been looking for as gyronuts to help when planning legs for a cross country. Look at the "New" button on Google maps and you"ll can enable the distance measuring tool for straight lines on Google Maps. Click on each point and it gives a direct distance.Hoges

G"day Hoges,That tool is good, but there is also an option to select a path so you can click from your start point then click your next way point and the next one and so on and it will give you the overall distance of your trip.Rob

You can even fly the route you selected on Google Earth.
