There"s something that a number of prospective rotor buyers can help with. If you have a lightweight machine including a 912 with a pod, please dont discount buying alloy rotors. The alloys will perform well and in most instances will perform as well as the Patroneys or even better. Aloys are in my opinion quite a bit tougher, can cut scrub really well and can handle hanger rash very well. Birdy for instances has used AK"s alloys and is currently using some Gerry Goodwin alloy rotors which he has posted very good comments on.Part of the reason for bring this subject up is that Rob is being overwhelmed by work and while there are the heavy weights that insist on Robs Rotors, even they can get away with alloys okay. So please consider Alloy rotors in the future. I think AK"s are available from NZ, Dragon wings from the USA, yes I know, mongrels to spin up but they work well with a good pre rotator [it makes me choke saying anything positive about DW"s

Brian,I have alloy blades on my tandem with over 450 hrs. They are tough, they resist "Hangar rash" and they fly sweet! They are lighter than the Fibreglass blades I had and I recon they require less care. It is a pity that AK"s went to Nwzealand but I think the exchange rate would make them pretty good buying at the moment.Mark

I just plonked a new set of 28ft. NZ AKs on my new ej25 with kruza cabin, and they fly great. No shake. Cost was 3850k plus a box and freight, if you can"t pick up. (Box $195, well made and worth keeping, and freight with insurance $522) to Darwin. (available from Rosco)
