I have just purchased a Sycomore Eagle that has the 33" AK rotor, this is my first gyro so have nothing to compare to, but on the demo flight the performance was certainly pretty good with a climb of 600fpm at 5300" airfield elevation, this at gross weight - 590kg

G"Day Weedy,Nice gyro! It will be interesting to see how the 33 AK"s stand up against the new hardware the Eagle is flying designed to carry 850kgs.Please keep us informed. Thanks.Mitch. ;D

Guys,I have just done some initial testing of a UFO with 30" RAF rotors and found I needed 600m+ (< 5kts breeze on the nose) to get the nose light ( Max AUW 750+kg)The owners strip near the homestead is only 500m at present so we had to find a suitable lengh of track! Everything else has been set up correctly but she is a real heavy machine so the need for bigger blades was expected. We have ordered a set of 33" AK"s and I hope to recommence testing early next month so I will be in a position to comment on these blades then.Adrian
