Ok the question is if I add a pod (similar to a Symes) to a rotax 582 powered side by side 2 seater, what would be the result.Lets say the pod will add approx 10kgs to the gyro weight.What is the expected change in performance?????If you have added a pod to your gyro, what was the resultant change in characteristics???I"d be very interested to see what you think.Ross B

hi ross.regarding the change that a pod has made to three machines with recently added pods has been noticably a reduction in required power to push these little buggers along,i am finding that i can cruise along in a 582 single seater using about a thousand revs less for straight and level flight,it will fly comfortably along at either 40 knots or 70 knots with

Ditto to everythn Bob says, specialy the AS getn away from you.Only downside to any sorta pod is the buggered vis and you tend to get boped about more in strong xwinds, and any low n slow is dangerous unless you have an accurate ASI that you can keep your eye on.

BobI have a plan to use one of your pods, on a side by side two seater. Just the base modules with a windscreen.What"s the approx weight of this set up. Ross B
