  • 6065 T5

Designing a 2 seater and can"t find 6061 T6 anywhere. I have looked up Capral and the only sizes I can find are in 6050 T5. I was thinking of using 100x50 for the mast with maybe a m16 tension bar up the cantre. Any thoughts anybody. I know 6061 T6 is the stuff but you simply can"t get it. (Frustrated)

Thanx Bones,Bought some 2.5 x 2 off Ian a while back. Completely forgot. I"ll see if he has the bigger stuff. Whats the size for a mast anyway and can the smaller stuff use an internal strut to boost up the strength or at least act as structural redundancy? Also can anybody point me to the Australian home build specs. - any help appreciated.

Hi Gordon,Since you have already settled for a side by side gyro"s design, you may like to consider a Rosco 2 seater gyro? You can buy the rolling air frame off him and install your subie type. This may save you the time to R&D. Juz a thought mate.CheersLou
