It won't happen. Think of allthe sidelines- Insurance, pulic liability, airworthyness audits, OHS, Workcover, unions, liability of parts suppliers, license updates, air certification of machine and inspections. It's a sport and if you chase cows thats a sport too: don't mention business. Plus only using certified parts installed by a LAME. Lets not go that way. Impractical and expensive. I could be wrong, but don't think so. Ken

Forgot to mention that we (RFS) helped fight fires in National Park last year with the NPS blokes. They get payed and don't care how long the fire lasts so had us doing meaningless crap. We watched them fire incendaries of a cliff for 3 hrs with no success. In the end I walked down and had a look; it had already been burnt out. It was their new toy.Don't have much respect for Govt employees . They are just dole bludgers with a uniform or a free car who think they can save the world. Easiest way to save the world is get rid of them, they would be more use as dole bludgers.Ken

Ken,You're dead right about life getting complicated once you go commercial but if chopper businesses can thrive despite the hassles you mentioned, then a gyro business should do it in spades. For some tasks it is simply the better choice.Having some workhorse gyros fully certified need not affect sport flying or cow chasing at all. In fact, the ensuing spin-offs could benefit everyone.Daj
