Anyone building a fuel tank and intending to install a complete submersable subaru tank unit with EFI fuel pump and 50 ohm gauge sender unit, there is a way to adapt it to a universal late model vdo fuel gauge. (as long as you don"t mind full on the left and empty on the right side of the dial) You pull the front ring off the gauge, remove the guts, solder a 50 ohm resistor across one of the existing resistors, and paint F ond the left and E on the right of the dial. (Soon get used to it) Better then sticking your head around the side and trying to read a faded plastic tube! (Iv"e Lost several glasses doing that)
