John,Cow manure and grass tend to have one thing that air doesn't have as much of... mass and hence momentum.If you have a good look at a prop operating on a cool, misty morning it may enlighten us as to the behaviour of the air flow, my fluid mechanics book shows a vena contractor, how it worked with Ken's prop and his tail I do not know, but it may have been an influence.Regards,Nick.
