  • rudder cable failure training

A few people have lost rudder control due to cable failure over time, so I have decided to incorperate some training in that area for advanced students. My standard Rosco side by side trainer will fly ok with No feet on the pedals and land with one or two up provided you keep your cool and keep the nose wheel off the ground untill you stop. (which you should do anyway)

Sounds LIKE A GREAT IDEA Max.Can I add a quick comment about this subject? if we design it right, then rudder cable failure shouldnt ever be a problem. My KRUZA, as an example, dosnt need rudder on landing (in nil wind). Also a cable brake wouldnt effect it due to the peddal / rudder arrangement. The cable between the 2 peddals is one continuous loop, with no springs required, and tabs to hold it true in flight. Very simple and effective KISS ;D Regards SamL.......
