I´m interested in putting together a flight plan, or routine, call it what you like, for gyro pilots to keep their flying skills up to standard. You know, engine out practice from different heights and directions, hovering, vertical descents, figure 8´s etc. The idea is to be able to present this ´plan´ to non gyro pilots who may be members of your local aero club etc and might see the normal things that gyros do as dangerous and reckless. If all the club members saw that the local gyro ´nut´ was only following the flight plan submitted and approved by other members, no-one would have a complaint. Most fixed wing pilots don´t understand how gyros fly, so when they see a gyro performing the things we do in normal low level flight etc, they tend to ´freak out´.Obviously the plan is going to vary from licensed, to unlicensed airfields, we will need more than one plan, probably.Any discussion as to inclusions in a proposed flight plan?Hoges
