Just as starter pack of a few of the aerial photos I took today. The weekend was a wonderful time, BBQ's put on by the Airport management, and we all did lots of flying. Many thanks must go to Don Cowling who did all the leg work preparation for the weekend.Image Insert: 57.25 KBThe line-upImage Insert: 55.36 KBThe IslandImage Insert: 69.12 KBThe MajestyImage Insert: 52.07 KBThe Fly-to DestinationImage Insert: 42.42

Any of you with a (very) keen eye could spot me sitting in Don's Gyro waiting with a big grin.I had a great weekend and Don was an amazing host. Well done to all involved, lets hope more of these sort of events flourish throughout the country.Don has set the benchmark now for everyone to follow.cheersArt SpinkGyroNews EditorWyangala/Maroubra NSW

Hi Art, On closer examination I do recognise you waiting for Don's return from a quick pre-flight nervous one. Well it looks that way to me. Great to have you visit us down south where the fly-ins just keep happening. All the very best to you and your bride to be mate.Image Insert: 76.18

Nice pictures Pete.Magnerl the compass is a Silva 70P bulkhead and about $140.00.Eric, the track was active on Saturday, and so I only flew around it then. Sunday it was dead so I took advantage and decided to fly it, which was good fun. Image Insert: 60.93 KBImage Insert: 69.96 KBSam.Melbourne Vic.

Would love to Echo, and some day might just do that !!!!Maybe even fly there. On the Saturday I tried to race some of the cars by flying along side the straight at a distance. But I must admit, even at 80-85 knot down wind ground speed, they left me for dead !!!!.Anyway I had fun trying.Sam.Melbourne Vic.

Ah Saml, You were flying at the wrong place to have a chance you should have been flying by the one over near the trees there in the last pic[][]. I have to agree with Echo on nice pics. Then in the second last pic we can see you tried to lighten up for speed as the gps was removed [^][].What you focus on grows. Des Gravin Bullsbrook Geraldton's (southern suburb) W.A.
