  • Bindoon to Lameroo and return Easter 2007

    Guys,For the next Nationals a few of us are exploring the possibility of flying from WA to SA and return. Yes I am sick of turning up at ASRA Nats and watching others fly ( no disrespect to the guys who have lent me there gyro"s in the past for the odd fly but its not the same!). I expect that you will need two weeks off work - 3 to 4days to get there, 2 to 3 days for the Nats and

      I could be interested in flying the Magni from Margaret River to Lameroo. There will be another one coming from Townsville.Michael.

                Just a quick update,Initial planning for the trip has been completed. Planned departure Wednesday March 28th from Northam. Northam has been chosen instead of Bindoon as RAAF have got nervous about numbers transiting their airspace. 8 gyros and associated ground crew.35 to 40 hours flying time depending on winds.Most pilots have chosen not to fly the return to Perth, I wonder why!Adrian

                  I am looking forward to this trip as I can see this will be a very memorable experiance.Thanks Adrian for yours and others who started the planing.Ok a question to any truck drivers in South Australia, What is your transport Authority rules on the log book rules is it the same as W.A.Your info will be appreciated.                       What a great adventure for these guys! I am sure they won"t regret the experiences of the trip, and of the Nationals.

                        G"Day Adrian,Myself, wife and two kids will be heading over to the West after the Nats. Travelling in a little VW Polo. Will be fully loaded. Dont know if we can be of any assistance at all, will help if we can.Would like to check out your WA club whilst I"m over there.Cheers,Mitch.

                          Greg,Expats from O/S are always welcome as long as my mates at the border check point give you clearance!.Sam,We are planning on ave 6hrs air time per day. 1st light T/off , two additional refueling stops depending on the winds and finnish early afternoon for daily maintenance/ rest.Adrian
