you are a totel knob paul.bloody hell alan ran out of fuel but was prepared for it and reported it to ALL the relevant authorities straight after it happened,he didn't run away and try and get someone else to report it for him when it was his job to do it and no-one elses.Oh and his machine IS registered.Tell me Paul WHAT CAOs and ANOs did he break seeing he reported the incident to the authorities IMMEDIATELY and TRUTHFULLY,something you seem to have dificulty understanding. In other words ASAP and with no PORKY PIES.You may have your staunch followers and i suppose that will never change but i am sure if you want to start slinging mud at people that do not deserve it sooner or later the larger amount of the gyro and intending gyro community will wake up to you.I know I HAVE....

Gidday Paul,Nice to know that you have the time to post on this and other Forums, but don't have the time to provide constructive information with regards to accident investigations. You posted: "Geez, Allan, I hope that CASA don't read your report on the forum, and charge you with the numerous ANO and CAR rules that he broke with your excurion to the ground devoid of fuel after poor flight planning!!!!!!!!!!! LOL."Let the membership have the benefit of your vast experience, and tell them which specific "numerous" ANOs and CARs I infringed. And don't BS. Get the references right. I have my PERSONAL copies of those documents here, and will reproduce them in full if required. ASRA is all about education, so let's help those who want to be educated, not lied to.You also posted:"Sorry about the tantrum, but when the most powerfull person in ASRA breaks the rules consistantly during the few years that he has been in the industry,(5)....."Who is "the most powerful person in ASRA"? If you are referring to me, then you are sadly mistaken. However, if you insist that it is me, then list the rules that I have "consistently" broken "during the few years ......." Be accurate and definite. After all, this is a public forum and unless you come up with the proof of the accusations, I believe that lawyers get involved. But, with your vast experience, you would know more about that than I.Put as much S*** on me as you want Paul, it bothers me not. Men have tried to take me down.In your terms, LOLWaddles. PS. Don't expect this to turn into a public slinging match. I have a life to lead.

I have until now stayed out of this debate Paul, however in reading this thread and in particular the unwarranted attack on Allan, and in conjuction with other threads, both here on the Australian and the American Forums, I can say that its your approach to these matters which is profoundly childish. I have no doubt that many people have been helped by you within this industry over a number of years, but really, this continual whinging, the putile sarcasim, and the ongoing mudslinging denegrates your position within the forums. It creates a destabilizing effect on contributions to the forum, and promotes doubt within the minds of those who are new to the industry and antagonises many others, who are actively working for the benefit of the sport. The governing body for this sport here in Australia (ASRA) offered you the opportunity to submit a defence at its hearing but for some reason you declined to present in person. More often than not a face to face rational discussion could have eased the tension. The subsequent penalty was, as I understand it, a suspension for a period of 12 months. If you feel you have been wronged, why don't you spend this time actively building a defence and appealing the decision made by ASRA. Instead you seem to take great delight in pouring fuel onto a fire by your continual unwarranted sniping attacks on people. I have spent a significant period during this month off work, reading threads on the Australian and American forums, and at times you have made some significant contributions to the ongoing debate. However there are also times whereby you, through your postings, have proved to be your own worst enemy. I urge you to reconsider your approach in these matters as a matter of urgency. You need to develop a systematic approach to your posts, by making sure they fall within the following guidelines, Is it a public matter?,Is the posting going to contribute in a positive way to the sport? Is the posting proactive rather than reactive?Should you find a 'no' to any of the above, then in hindsight you really need to either reword your submission, or delay the response until a reasonable cooling off period has elasped, or take it up privately with the person/s involved. And in closing Paul, remember this, that this is a public forum, which in essence means since we can read it, so too can those members of CASA. You will undoubted know of them as people who use big words and even bigger sticks. Our board is there to assist in keeping them off our backs. Please don't make their job any harder than it currently is.In essence Paul this is offered to you as advice, and without malice. The choice is clearly yours. If you decide to ignore these words then I fear your days within the sport could well be numbered. Ted

Thank you Ted. A couple of days late, as I have done some soul seaching and decided to do exactly what you have suggested, but a well thought out and written post. Ted, you said, "but for some reason you declined to present in person."Ted, I had two reasons for not attending the hearing. Firstly, I had a student quite disadvantaged by the situation and I wanted to spend the last remaining legal flying days I had availible to me to finish him to certificate standard. This guy is situated 300 km east of Darwin has a Raf 2000, and had taken holidays to have his training completed. Fortunately I was able to complete his training with a day to spare.Secondly, I felt that at a large National gyro event there could have been personal problems for people with me being there. An event of that calibre does not need any tension.Ted I believe that it is time for me to change, and begin the rest of my life as a better person.Aussie Paul.[8]www.firebirdgyros.com
